In the lands of the Titanic Northwest, beyond the coast, beyond the mountains, there is a temperate desert. Somewhere in this desert lives the god Ogopogo. This god is actually a plesiosaur (cf. Nessie). It is possible that the Ogopogo is psionically dominated by one of the gods of the Titanic Northwest, probably Raven the Trickster.

The Sierra Nevada (/siˈɛrə nᵻˈvɑːdə/ or /nᵻˈvædə/, Spanish: [ˈsjera neˈβaða], snowy range[6]) is a mountain range in the Western United States, between the Central Valley of California and the Basin and Range Province. Silver dragons are said to live amongst the peaks of the Sierra Nevada. To the east of the Sierra Nevada is a region known as the Gold Fields: here live at least one tribe of dwarves that are similar to many respects to the native human Vargaardian cultures. The dwarves of this mine for gold below the surface, but, they have delved too deep... what have they found? ( Map of the gold mines). Note that the dwarven mines, at a certain point, connect with a megadonjon that is below the Sierra Nevada. (The dwarven mine-network is extensive, to say the least). Note that there is a gate to one of the Iberian realms in the upper levels of this megadonjon. Farther to the west, near Tecla, one can find Teclan goblins. They say: "Ci senor" a lot, and, refer to all of the human && non-human races as "gringo". They wear ponchos, and, ride giant chihuahuas into battle. Going north a bit, from the area where one finds the Teclan goblins, one can find tar pits, that contain tar-zombies of the various creatures that have died in them. (If these tar-zombies score a hit, save vs. paralyzation: a failed save indicates that the target has become easier to hit, with a certain amount of failed saves indicating total immobility). As well, some kind of a cosmic horror lives in these tar pits. North of the area of the tar pits, there are great forests, which contain some of the largest trees on Aerth. Among these trees are sequoia ents (as ents, but with 100 HD: some of these ents are said to have more Hit Points than the gods, themselves!). (Thanks: kingofthefreepass)

Lamprey are found in the Great Lakes, particularly Lake Ontario (where a giant squid is said to dwell, having swimmed up the river when it was a baby, from the Lantlan Ocean). These lamprey are not native to the Great Lakes, having been accidentally brought over by explorers. They wreak great havoc on the natural ecological balance of the Great Lakes. (Thanks: dragonspipe)
