Good movie... this is Vargaard... no White Man! Prespos Ps. There is no White Man in most places of Aerth, basically. Colonization has occurred in the eastern part of the continent, but everything beyond the Appalachian forest-mountains is basically a great unknown. If you've seen THE REVENANT, that's a pretty good guide, as well, to the time period. Ps2. If anyone ever has any movie trailers that relate to EPIC OF AERTH or DEITIES && DEMIGODS, please, send! Ps3. Note the plains Injun clothing, here: Hiawatha was probably forest Injun, but, it is unclear from which nation. Several nations seem to lay claim to him. That said, he is alive and well, on Aerth, in the present time...

New Mexicoprocessing... I do have a 1st level module that uses a temple of Selune, which I suppose could drop into this country. not sure what is expected, here? also, I want New Mexico. * Just doin' the best I can... trying to give everyone a piece of Aerth to call their own, as a kind of gaming experiment. Trebizond was naturally generated, but it seems you prefer the New Mexico area. No worries. * Nothing is really expected, at all: I'm just trying out a new forum idea, where everyone gets their own space on Aerth. There was precedent for this, in The World of Presposia, but, there won't be enough space, for everyone, over the years, with the World of Presposia setting. * With regards to New Mexico: Sure... you can trade out Trebizond for New Mexico! Do you have FMQ1 CITY OF GOLD? * To be clear, I don't want to force anyone to have to put up with random dice rolls, if they choose to go 'deal themselves in'. Again, there is not really anything that is expected: I am just trying out a PnP/D&D forum experiment. Might work, might fail. There is a section called " Giving the Players What They Want" in the 2e DMG, and, I think that's a good philosophy. Anyway... New Mexico it is! Prespos Ps. That land is uncolonized, as of yet. From google: There are 23 Indian tribes located in New Mexico - nineteen Pueblos, three Apache tribes (the Fort Sill Apache Tribe, the Jicarilla Apache Nation and the Mescalero Apache Tribe), and the Navajo Nation, and a considerable urban Indian population which is also served by the Indian Affairs Department. So, it is not called New Mexico, yet. Ps2. cf. SPIRIT WEST (RIFTS) cf. FMQ1 CITY OF GOLD (FR, 2E) The latter give A LOT of info on Pueblo-like cultures, if you can find the .pdf. Ps3. Sorry for the stream-of-consciousness style of writing! Ps4. Would you like to be Lord of the Apache, or, a Pueblo tribe, or... something else? Again, this is just a forum-wide PbP experiment: no need to participate if you do not have the need and/or inclination.

I see just one problem with this, Vargaard is not North America. In fact their similarities extend to just the physical geographical, the social, political, and religious not so much.
Keep in mind that the Atlantlan discovered what is now called Vargaard sometime around the year 5,000aaf; 4,000 BC in our reckoning. In short the East as known about the West for some 6,000 years, and that is going to have an impact. Looks like I've got a few posts to write for my site.

After all, French contact with the Iroquois of Aerth goes back a few centuries further than on Earth.

Thanks! With regards to this sub-forum, it's key to keep in mind that I am posting in the 5th Dimension (Probability). I do not adhere to a singular Prime Material Plane, but I present like a rainbow of options. As well, cf. DJ3.222 --> what I post here is NOT canon Aerth, by any stretch of the imagination. My posts are simply meant for fun && inspiration! Thank you for your interest: I am going to read A BRIEF HISTORY OF AERTH, DJ3.8, to try and understand Gary's vision, a bit more. Again, thank you for the excellent post: this really does have serious implications, should one follow the Official timeline, as given in EPIC OF AERTH. DJ3.222 Prespos Ps. My vision of Aerth is a world just on the edge of: * colonisation (Vargaard, Amazonia, Magmur, and, to a lesser extent, Afrik) * Abrahamic religion (limited to about 5/'200' realms: Phillistia, Rome, Yarbay, Shamash) * 17th c. technology (limited to about 15/'200' realms) I think that this situation (which diverges from Gary's vision with regards to the inclusion of the Abrahamic pantheon) provides excellent potential for dynamic adventure. Ps2. Looking forward to writing more...! I LOVE the Aerth setting!
