Several tribes in what would geographically correspond to New Guinea consume their dead: this is considered Proper Burial, as per AD&D. Failure to do this may result in the second birth of undeath.
Note that I am not sure if the analog of New Guinea would be on the Magmur map, or part of the realm of Shrijavti...

The great Australia campaign. It starts with the aboriginees banishing the evil rainbow snake, leaving them in a devastated homeland. As second threat, they have to face an alien invasion from beyond the sea - a menace not even the deadly environment of their home prepared them for. Dun dun dun dun ... (By: kjatoragfoot)

The Principality of Hutt River is about 500 miles north of the westernmost of the Lemurian(Muavinapuan) colonies, along the coast. Note that this Principality is not Lemurian in origin.

The Muavinapuan(Lemurian) colonists are known for their strange processed foods, including "tim-tams", and many varieties of "mite". These foods are often made by magick-users, with the aid of preserve spells. Basically, they last forever, and, are the most durable of the forms of Iron Rations on Aerth. However, they tend to be toxic, to creatures of Fey origin. (Fey must save vs. poison or suffer 1d4 points of damage, when eating these foods. The fey designation includes elves of all kinds.) With regards to "tim-tams", these are made with cacao, with is considered to be the sacred food of the gods in Muya. Note that the Muavinapuans(Lemurians) have, at certain times in their history, been great explorers. Extensive contact with Muya is well documented, and, the cacao (aka "choc") was brought back to Lemuria. From here, Muavinapuan colonists brought it to the Lemurian colonies of Magmur.

IN the area that would co-respond to the Kakadu National Park, just south of Darwhon Bay, in the swamps, one can find Axe Beaks. Like 99% of everything that lives in Magmur, the axe beaks are a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER to all forms of humanoid life, and, another of the 1,000,000 reasons that this deadly continent has never been truly civilized. Magmur is by far the most deadly of all of Aerth's continents.

Magmur is said to be the most boring place on Aerth. That it is the most deadly continent on Aerth, there is no question. Some maps just mark off Magmur as "The Land of Deadly Monsters", in addition to other names, such as "The Southland", "Magmur" (a Lemurian name), and "Uluru" (an Aborigine name). In any event, the hills south of the Ganumuu Desert are home to boring beetles. These hills, also known as the Boring Hills, are, probably, the most boring place on Aerth. In fact, these hills are so boring that travellers have died from sheer boredom from spending too much time in these hills. High-level accountants are said to have a monastery here, where they practice their "bore to death" power. The aborigines generally avoid these hills, despite the seeming fecundity of the Valleys of Vacuousness. The remains of both foolish Muavinapuan colonists and native Aborigines are common throughout both the Boring Hills and the Valleys of Vacuousness. Uncaring, the boring beetles continue their continual boring work of regenerating the seemingly boring cycles of nature, living in the huge trees in the center of the valley floors. Note that there are no random encounters in the Boring Hills and the Valleys of Vacuousness. Matter of fact, there are no encounters at all, unless they are encounters with boring beetles.

Ankylosauri are found in the Ganuumu Desert. This vexes sages, for they are: a) Supposed to be found in the Inner Aerth, and; b) There is almost no water in this desert, most of the time How can such a large animal survive with such little water? The local Aborigines revere the Ankylosaurus, and, have several lejends about them.
