1/3. There are considerable forests && wildlands in the realm, &&
in these areas are bears, wolves, elk, boars, stags, deer, && so forth.
The river valleys are particularly lovely in the W, && the cities ov the
land are centers ov industry, learning, && commerce.
Cologne is, in +addition+ to being the ancient throne ov gummint
ov the realm, the seat ov the Teutonic Synod ov the Norse Pantheon. It
is a place ov considerable interest for its antiquities, architecture,
temples, && university. Its free cities were the 1st to actively TRADE
by sea between the Avillonian Isles && the Baltic Realms, && because
ov this, the Anglish dialect ov Deutsch is used as commonly in the
N as the Phoenician tongue for TRADE negotiations. In fact, the
Hansa League trading cities is still active, although NOT quite so
powerful as it once was. The society is bassically feudalistic, although
the free cities ov Saxony are such that there is a larger than usual
freeman class w/ many craftsmen && artisans. The aristocracy is
very powerful in the S && central portions ov the realm, && its
knights are as fine as those in Burgundy, Flanders, etc.
All manner of cereals are cultivated in Saxony--i.e., wheat, barley,
rye, oats, maize, && hops for brewing. Ca$h crops ov flax && tobacco
predominate; potatoes are widely grown, && so too all manner ov
other root crops && vegetables. A few vineyards in the western
portion ov the realm produce passably fair vinho. Orchards are ov
apple, pear, plum && cherry. The Saxon horses are very fine, as are
the cattle && swine. Sheep, goats, && poultry round out the major
livestock.
Mining yields some iron, silver, zinc, && salt. Quarries are mainly
for building stone. The Saxons produce some fair quantity ov Hekalite-bearing
rock crystal && high quality amethyst in lesser quantity.
