Kingmaker is a board game created by Andrew McNeil. It was first produced in the UK by PhilMar Ltd. in 1974. The second edition was produced by Avalon Hill in the United States in 1975. This version was somewhat different from the original, as it refined the rules and required less knowledge about England to play. TM Games also released an edition in 1983 that was essentially a re-issue of the Avalon Hill version. The game is set in the time of the English Wars of the Roses (1455–1487) Thanks to: PapersAndPaychecks

Hmmmmm. God-King I suppose? The phrases Divine Right and Defenders of the Faith come to mind. Chris, you are now The Immortal King of Albion. With regards to Albion, it is whatever you imagine. Myself, despite Gary's vision of a 17th century fantasy Earth, I imagine Albion as like England, during the time of THE BROKEN SWORD, by Poul Anderson. Yes, my vision of Aerth, is, overall, closer to the Dark Ages, though, the Middle Ages and Renaissance do express themselves, in certain realms. It's a difficult && ongoing process to try to craft the best (A)D&D gaming setting of all time, and, I'd like to emphasize that I write on the level of possibility, in that nothing is graven in stone: nothing is an immutable canon. Cherry-pick, and create your own vision of Aerth: that's the important thing. Anyway, for now, Yes: my point of view is influenced by THE BROKEN SWORD, except that the King of Albion is King Chris I. Prespos, Scribe to the King of Albion Ps. Your Immortal Majesty, I highly recommend that you carefully read the first post. Should you have any questions, I remain at your service. Ps2. In theory, Albion might be nearing the time of civil war, with the native Brytho-Celts readying against the Anglo-Saxon culture of Northumbria. Or.. they could co-exist peacefully. It is really up to you, Your Majesty! Ps3. Could Castle Redstar fit in Albion?

This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. William Shakespeare, "King Richard II", Act 2 scene 1

Offa's Dyke (Welsh: Clawdd Offa) is a large linear earthwork that roughly follows the current border between England and Wales.

Castle Redstar could indeed by situated on the Island. Most likely on the West Coast of Wales (Cymru). The present day town of Aberystwyth with its views over Cardigan Bay most acuratly reflect Strenn and the Strenn Basin.

For those who don't know about the CASTLE REDSTAR campaign setting, it is one of the most awesome mega-dungeons of all time, a Lejend in it's own right, like Castle Greyhawk. If you Love ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, Yea, I verily attest: This is the real AD&D!
I hope that, one day, it will published, in full, for the enjoyment of future gamers.
1st. Edition, St. Prespos
