I was looking at an old Citadel Catalogue and happened on this page. Look at the metal Guardians. I know, they're not available in Canada, but they are available to my affection. They're so 80s punkish. I promptly commenced making three WH40k Third Edition core armies-Mordian Imperial Guard, Orks and Eldar. Eldar Eldar Eldar. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, figuring on up-fitting something Tonka for the Trukk for bud's complementary Orks. It's gonna be an awesome. An awesome, I tells ya. Adeptus Arbites was an instant shoe-in for the Mordians, but I see they're not actually a thing. Ah well. I do mull over including an Eversor for the Imperial Guard, regardless.

My tentative list, as veracified via splurge, it's got a Wraithlord with a D-Cannon, 10 Guardians with a Lascannon Platform, 3 Jetbikes, a Vyper with Splinter Cannon upgrade and Missile Launcher, 3 Rangers and a Farseer. 500 points of raw speculative Power.

Now that I've boomboxed my mohawked friend, he's here to yell at you. GTFO! The Feds are watching!
And, to resume my own, I've an excellent Tau army incoming on the cheap. Next up, The Mordians. Orks will probably be a 20 bucker, fucker.
500 points, I've got 'em.

Apparently the mighty Bob Olley forayed off into the distance with the Squat concept. I read this after some googlin'. And to this day he's fashioning Space Dwarfs under the Scrunt moniker.
I'm gonna call my in-transit Chopper Gang with Ancestor sidecar "The Savage Firsts". It's a fucking glorious roundabout quadruple entendre of a name. Fuck your accente gous.
Kinda makes me wanna score up an old beater VHS of Rock & Rule. Here's a tune for the unwavering.

I think, in terms of a broad-angle campaign, I might make it based around a custom Space Marine chapter. I'll call them the Trademark Imperialis, and their geneseed will have been scrounged for the custom use by a Rogue Trader combine.
I'm looking forward to making some slightly "off" Marines. Gonna see to having a Ref, if all pans out.

I've an attestment of overt power, a Siege Dreadnought as outlined in the original Warhammer Siege, a WIP of currently orkish visage. I'm planning mostly on reffing a branching campaign ladder series, which must mean I'll be using the Savage Firsts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUHXXai0DrgIt'll take a lot of set-up to make that feasible. I figure the Siege Dreadnought will have a Demolisher (like a ball and chain), a las-cutter, and a ladder on the back. no manipulative arm, but it's all in good fun. It's shaping up dandy. I'll probably set the campaign on a world with savage tribes.

Campaign on Terra Nova Terra Nova is a planetoid-a moon base of sorts with its origin being a devastated planet. It’s spherical land amounts to being approximately the size of Texas. Exactly? The Forces available A solitary Zoanthrope-This creature contains vast amounts of Squat DNA. It roams about parts unknown “The Squat Bikers”-These are a squad of relicts to their kind, hunting and being dogs of war. Eldar Garrison-The Eldar control a vast complex. It is a mining facility and it also has the atmosphere generator aboard, making it rain constantly. Tau Expats-These are a platoon of Fire Warriors accompanied by a sizeable Kroot contingent. They are stranded and need various parts for their ship. Orks-The Orks are emergent from their pods and control a trading post whereby they manufacture large vehicles to blast through the wastes. Mordians?-If they show, it’s for Admech and/or exterminator reasons. Their base is a barracks. Each army will only have finite troop numbers, visa vi suggested casualty recovery table, and an experience table, with a small reserves base. Withdrawal tactically available. The forces are dividable. The armies will amount to 500 points apiece circa 3rd. The battles will be of objective-pursuits and missions. There’ll be a pair of secret objectives doled out to each true faction-the Squats & Zoanthrope being tertiary forces. Terrain-mostly barren wastes, rock outcroppings, etc. There’s a strange petrified forest on one portion of the planetoid, stretching for miles. Special Terrains Jeb’s Gas Bar-Jeb don’t broach no tomfoolery. Sells info & vehicles. Jeb is a Space Marine terminator, with a pair of assistants-probably two space marines, or one and a xeno. They sell info & vehicles. The alcove with the ancient siege dreadnought. 5 Maguffins. The automated fortress; the hoverskiff; derelict town; the old mine. Maguffins Omni-skull:provides radar data, locations of items, etc. Folding Hoverboard:a retracting, fast, nigh-invincible weapon from the Dark Age of Technology One-shot tactical Nuclear Launcher: shoots with scatter dice, eradicates a 1 foot radius area with a S10 D6 wounds hit. The Factory Carrier:a war machine that produces weaponry in its bay. Attaches to the Omni-skull. Entombed Man of Iron Mission Cards 10 Claim Maguffin X cards, 2 for each 2 Claim Maguffin X & Y cards 3 Destroy an enemy camp cards 1 Defeat the Zoanthrope for DNA extraction-turns body to an object 1 Trash Jeb’s Gas Bar 1 Control the fortress 1 Blow up the atmosphere generator! 1 Wipe out the neutrally-aligned Squat Bikers 1 Repair and man the radio tower 1 Control the Siege Dreadnought 2 Occupy/cordone derelict town Two Point Mission Cards 1 Commandeer & Joyride an enemy vehicle mission 1 Find the STC in the old mine mission 1 Establish science facility mission 1 Capture 20 POW mission 1 Destroy 3 Maguffins mission Units are headpins stuck to a small globe.

20 of these fellas, made to complete vibrant hue. They do an admirable job of filling up the loathesome Troops requisite, divvied up by two. And therein I now need to figure out how to buiild up an Imperial Guard core 3e rulebook army that works well.

Me and Holmes piled our Orks and Eldar onto the field and killed the fuck out of each other's stuff in our first game.
My Eldar slaughtered many Orks, the Meganob's backpack goblin was hucking grenades. Eldar are a finesse army, I learned. I left the immobilized Ork Dreadnought on the field as a cautionary bisque. It was awesome. Game ended when my Farseer witchbladed a different Meganob.

Tester image. These are some of the auxillaries. The Squat Bikers, the Zoanthrope, the Horse Abhumans, and some of the 45ish Moonraker Miniatures figures. Test image #2 is of the Bar's target range. Test image #3 is some sexy dwarf action.
