I'll say 500 pence each?

Ale money. I'd steer clear 'o Toothless Jenny, though.
The other items are likely worth a bit more. I say we sack up and continue on, eh?
We missed something obvious, perhaps. Past the Crystal Ball, there was a stairway that ended in a dead end. There must be a secret door there! What kind of asshole puts a dead end at the bottom of a stair? If there is no secret door, then we can reasonably conclude there was Union dispute of some kind, the knowledge of which may serve us well later.

I head back, shortbow ready.

I shall tag along behind. My natty silk robes rustling gently. The stars and moons glinting in the torchlight..

You backtrack, up the stairs into the ruins, down the stairs into the dungeon, onwards to the crossroads of Kali, west beyond the crossroads of Kali, to the stairs that lead to the dead end. You search for secret doors, and find... nothing.
Now your feet are wet from the strange white liquid.

So it is confirmed. There was a labor dispute here. And, there is a large volume of jizz on the floor. What does it all mean? The Socialist Stone Masons *must* have put a secret door, somewhere. I say we methodically search all of the other dead ends, and for future notice, avoid stepping in puddles of jizz.

Indeed. Looking forward to bug-steaks and ale, this evening. Bill better not have eaten that sprig of thyme.

If the lamp is lit I send my Imp Familiar to put it out. With his batty wings he should fit right in.

The bats attack your imp! It is immune to their attacks!
The lamp is not lit.

I use my torch as a "shield," and stab at the bats with my spear.

You go forward into the room. There are no apparent exits in the walls of this 40x40 room.
Jame now has the lamp.
There seems to be a black hole in the ceiling, 20' or so above.

Is there anything ... on the floor under the hole?
The bats must be up in there. Way up in there.

There is some guano on the floor under the hole, but, not more than anywhere else in the room.
Jame took the lamp on the center of the floor.

Setting my torch down, I check if there is daylight above.
Then check the room for secret doors or panty drawers.

No daylight from above.
You find 3 secret doors!
* south wall * west wall * east wall

No panties? Just as well, considering what happened last time.
I spend some time inspecting these secret doors, and the floors and walls around them, for anomalies. Scripts. (holding torch & spear) What sort of handles they employ, or do not.
I surmise that the Dungeon Masons, who clearly went on strike, had prior to the strike, installed these secret doors, possibly to hide their Union Office, or tools of their very insurrection! We must be cautious, here on out. I will endeavor to refrain from yelling SPLUGORTH. But make no promises.

There are no handles, but thou dost findeth Common runes indicating that these doors were made in the year 979. The year is 1016, right now.
