West beyond the crossroads of Kali... Passage turns left (south), 90 degrees. Here the passage widens to a 20' width. At the bend, right in the corner, is a crystal ball.  30' south of the bend... stairs go down to a dead end. There is a 10' landing in front of the dead end. There is a fuming, flecked, white liquid on the 10' landing, to a depth of 1 inch. Your basic option: * N+E: Back to the crossroads of Kali. |

My intention is to throw my spear at one of the scabies (missile attack), and draw my sword (movement phase?). If I can attack with the sword in the same round, I will. (I am hazy on the AD&D, at present).

I chop them in the heads, once each, to make sure they're dead. I then sheathe my sword, draw my bow and take the lead to continue down the corridor, checking for secret doors.
