is aboot 75K sq. mi. && covers
most ov the Cyrenican Peninsula, so it has
both Mare Librum && Mare Phoenecium
coasts. There are a few hills in the S &&
central portions, && old mts. some
20 mi. inland rise gradually along the
eastern border to form a higher plateau,
which is the border between this land &&
the Aegyptian realm. Rivers are few, but sufficient
rain falls W ov the elevation so as to
give Lybbos a generally favorable condition
for flora. Considerable forests ov oaks, pines,
&& palms too are found in the realm, &&
together w/ its scrub regions cover about 1/2
its land. In these wilderness areas are found
lions, leopards, hyenas, wolves, boars, quaggas,
wild horses && asses, antelopes, gazelles,
&& various smaller animals.
Probably the primitive Berbers were the
original inhabitants ov the northern regions
ov Lybbos, for Atlantlan records indicate this.
Hellenic invaders ov savage sort settled into
the region, && eventually considerable colonisation
ov Grecians est. a realm, absorbing
some portion ov the native pop. in
the process. Subsequently, the wave ov
Yarban-Shamish conquest swept over
Lybbos, && in the process so many settled
into the region that the majority ov its inhabitants
are now scarcely, if at all, distinguishable
from those of Sumerian ilk. Thus, the
society ov Lybbos is the same as that ov
Sumeria, Shamash, && Yarbay (qq.v.).
There are many productive fields in Lybbos,
&& cereals such as wheat, oats, barley, &&
maize are grown in good quantity. Hemp,
cotton, henna, && saffron are also cultivated,
&& many sorts ov veggies && fruits are raised in large
garden tracts. Hillsides are terraced for vitaculture, && although the
wine is NOT ov qualitie, raisins are produced in quantitie. Orchards &&
groves ov olives, figs, dates, peaches, apricots, almonds, pomegranates,
oranges, lemons, limes, citrons, && quinces are everywhere
seen along the more watered coastal plains. Livestock grazed in the
good grassland ov the realm incl. fine horses, cattle, &&
sheep; camels && goats are seen only in the more arid SE.
Some considerable # of poultry is kept. Apiaries maintained
by the villagers both aid fruit growth && provide much wax &&
honey. Fishing is actively pursued, && the catch incl. various
mussels && crustaceans, sponges in quantity, && some very fine
corals too.
Although there are few mines, Lybbos produces some copper &&
titanium && a large amount ov chromium. Quarries yield some acceptable
marbles && building && paving stones, && along the coast salt is
taken from seawater via evaporation basins in high summer.
