Ships from Leon have come into conflict with ships from Nippon, some samurai, some pirates. Reports that some of the Nipponese ships were flying vessels are possibly true, as that realm has discovered spelljamming.

The largest native mammal is the red deer, and most natives subsist on fishing rather than hunting. The language is a Malayan dialect of Bisayan and Tagalog.
