Firstly thanks for looking after Dick guys. Looks like he prospered. I know the game's on hold for the moment, just seeing if anyone is still around? Maybe we can tease Johnny into running a one off game for old times sake. As you know it was almost impossible for me to attend due to the times but for a one shot? Just saying

Sure... I would still be into it.
The main party is currently on Level 1 below the Temple, in the kitchen (surrounded by lots of dead bodies, all over the place, including a giant snake).

Will do!
Currently, we are playing G1 Steading of the Hill Giant Chief, with SiPfan as DM, on Thursday and Saturday, 10 pm EST.

"Dick in Nulb" sounds like a condition that would necessitate a trip to the emergency room.
Just sayin'.

I'm sure by now that Dick will have sussed out the action in Nulb. He's pretty darn smart for a fighter after all. Maybe even wandered into the Temple to find some lewt?

I remember leaving off T1 just after the frogs. We killed a spider in a tower. Ultimately, there was complaint because I accidentally made a really good Eleven Ranger, who killed almost all the frogs with no party casualties. It happened because Unearthed Arcana rules gave me short range bonus. But, someone complained I was OverPowered. I think I was following the written rules, and I never made a ranger before, so I was inexperienced. But it does beg the question:
Is Unearthed Arcana too strong for AD&D?

Any specific reasons why?

The total bonus to-hit is probably an imbalance for an adventure written for core AD&D. Core low-level AD&D characters should not be having +5 and +6 to-hit. To use an UA character, all PC's would have to have those rules, and then the DM would probably have to increase the number of monsters (and treasure).
