Driders! Of course! Otherworld Miniatures produce some beauties. Also good for D&D, which is what the Drow were bought for in the first place. So far I have around 60 mixed sex foot troops, a really cool wizard, 3 hero types and 2 repeating bolt throwers with crew.I'd quite like to add a half dozen Cold One cavalry but Driders would be just as good. I also have 20 Gargoyles (I think the figures are called Harpies but they look like Gargoyles to me) that are been sent off for painting too. These will be the Drow Aur Force. I was thinking of adding the following from my Army of Evul as shock troops/auxiliaries. 4 Trolls 12 Bugbears 8 Troglodytes This will make for an army of about 110 figures. Small and compact but then the Dark Elves don't come cheap once light armour + shield (save 5+), hand weapon, repeating crossbow and poison are added. Maybe a level 20 Wiz and a level 20 hero then 2 lesser champion Drow. Also have a Bugbear Hero, maybe level 10 and a lowly Trog Witch Doctor, wiz 5. I do have a standard bearer and musician but will have to look at the special rules for them before I decide what to do.

That's a small army? Ha I was reckoning my O&G were unwieldy @ 130 mens. Me, I always question the value at like 3 points for a random infantry dude having a 5 up armor class. So I send them in naked.

*pre-emptively omits rant about how many troops one figure represents*

Mmmm I see what you're saying. The 3rd edition army list (like I care) has a minimum of 40 Warriors and 20 Crossbowmen. But heck that's for a Dark Elf Army. Mine is Drow! They come from underground D&D! Just doing the sums quickly shows that I would have loads more points than I need. So I'm going back to the drawing board. A powerful Drow wizard A fairly tough Drow hero A Drow standard Two units of 'ard Drow maybe 10 each 2 Drow repeating bolt throwers Maybe some Drow Shadows/Scouts 6 Gargoyles (using Harpy stats) 6 Troglodytes (using Trog stats but on 25mm frontage for extra points) 1 Trog Shaman level 5 1 Trog Hero level 5 or 10 8 Bugbears (using Orc stats but +1 Str, Tou & Woundz for extra points) 1 Bugbear Hero level 10 4 Trolls 20 Ghouls commanded by the Drow wiz. Then if there are any points left maybe a Hydra or other large centre piece monster?
