Nubians have some wonderful abilities (detect ghosts, see in the dark), but they are an untrustworthy lot. (Thanks: Reno 911)

The Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during Dynasty XVIII. For the past 3,400 years (since 1350 BC), they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.[1][2]

There are several secret societies in Aegypt, including The Seekers, who are basically archaeologist/adventurers. See HAMUNAPTRA for more details.

Note that there is a Crystal Spheres called Nile.
The Aegyptians:
A) Have been to Outer Space B) Came from Outer Space
Note that I'm not sure whether to use traditional space (ie. TRAVELLER) or fantasy space (ie. SPELLJAMMER). Either could work for an Aerth campaign: as always, just follow your own canon, not 'mine' or Gary's, as you please. Remember that the option to Disregard & Distort is always there for you, of course.
Prespos
Ps. I don't have a 'canon' like the FR has a canon. Everything that I post here represents 5th dimensional posting, in the sense of probability && possibility.
Ps2. In the FR, Mystra is also the goddess of possibility. Part of her symbol is 8 stars.

Hermopolis[1] (also Hermopolis Magna, Greek: Ἑρμοῦ πόλις μεγάληHermou polis megale[2] Egyptian Khemenu, Ḫmnw) was a major city in antiquity, located near the boundary between Lower and Upper Egypt. "In Greek, the city was called Hermopolis, after Hermes, whom the Greeks identified with Thoth, because the city was the main cult centre of Thoth, the god of magic, healing and wisdom, and the patron of scribes."

" Ankheg" are found in the fertile alluvial soils of Aegypt. They are considered sacred to the god Apshai, but they present a great danger to Aegyptian farmers.

Catoblepi are found among the swamps that fringe the Upper Nile, in Upper Aegypt. The Aegyptians have semi-domesticated them, and, make an excellent cheese from milking the catoblepi. It is interesting to note the presence of the catoblepas in the Narmer palette. Narmer was one of the early kings of Aegypt, and, his mace, a holy relic, still remains. It has the powers of a mace of disruption, as well as many other powers.

Crocodiles are found along the Nylle. The name of the crocodile god is Sobek(Sebek); in his temples, the crocodiles are fed by hand, by the priests.
