Deep within a cave of the Kyffhäuser, Emperor Barbarossa sleeps. He is said to rule over the mountains even while asleep, and is rumoured to return if the peace of the mountains is ever threatened. He is said to be in feud with Duke Henry of Brunswick (in Saxony). It is said, his caves holds beauty untold, but visitors only see the normal areas.

From: Epic of Aerth Addenda, by Gregg Timm. Thuringia (pg. 170-171) In the borders of this kingdom lie the Schwartzwald -“The Black Forest”. This nearly 2000 square mile area has extensive forests of fir and spruce with some hornbeam, oak and beech. Wild boars, deer, squirrels, and a variety of birds are common here. This forest is the hotbed of Phæree activity in this portion of Æropa; the boundary between the two worlds being as thin as that found in parts of Avillonia. All manner of alfar, dwarves, ogres, and such beings are spotted here.

Thuringia is not only famous for its Rostbratwurst, but also for the mustard that goes along with it:

Thanks again, kjatoragfoot. I thought that I would like to take a second to briefly discuss how I imagine herbs on Aerth. In short, they are potentially much more powerful than their real-world counterparts. For example, the DMG lists mustard as: "emetic, counter-irritant, colds, fevers". Hence, we have right here, the cure for the common cold! As well, mustard provides immunity to the irritation spell (cf. UA). Unfortunately, it is a powerful emetic, and, a save vs. poison (with at least a +4 bonus, and a CON bonus equal to the HP bonus, and a bonus (+4?) for being from one of the Deutsch realms, perhaps) must be made... or else... . Prespos Ps. In 2E, in the Complete Humanoids Handbook, there is an Iron Stomach (or something like that) skill (for humanoids) that should allow them to eat mustard safely. For humans, if one plays with feats, a Mustard Eater feat might not be entirely out of the question. Ps2. mustard potions? mustard of vomiting? Ps3. IRL, I love mustard... I shall try to find the ones that you have mentioned, but is there a specific brand name or type that I should search for?

IRL, I love mustard... I shall try to find the ones that you have mentioned, but is there a specific brand name or type that I should search for? Thüringen has surprisingly many mustard mills, the most famous brands are probably: Born Feinkost Altenburger Senf There are three common kinds of mustard in Germany: Sweet, which is mostly eaten in the south and south-east, as well as in Czechia, medium (or mittelscharf) and spicy (extrascharf). Gourmets like their Camembert with a fruit (mostly pear and fig, but I have also seen pineapple) flavoured mustard. On the other hand, the worlds biggest mustard producers are Saskatchewan and Alberta. So I am pretty sure you have plenty of good mustard to choose from, probably more than the Thuringians.
