The Antonine Wall, also called Vallum Antonini to the Romans, was a turf fortification on stone foundations, built by the Romans across what is now the Central Belt of Scotland, between the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde.

The Eagle is an artifact, with the powers of a rod of rulership && eyes of the eagle.
It's other powers are as follows:
* Minor Benign Power: clairaudience * Major Benign Power: cure disease by touch * Minor Malevolent Power: User must eat and drink 6 times the normal amount due to the item’s drain upon him or her * Major Malevolent Power: Lose 1 point of dexterity permanently * Prime Power: Monster summoning VIII- 2 times/day * Side Effect: Fumble reaction possible in any creature within 20' of the item whenever a major or primary power is used; all, including possessor, must save versus magic or fumble
Note that a table has to be created for the Monster Summoning VIII effect, which would be the equivalent of a 10th level spell, beyond the power of a wish.
(Thanks: subaltari)

Close-up showing how (they think) they were painted originally: white basecoat with colours on top. Pretty stunning. Seemingly there's good historical reasons for thinking they were this brightly painted originally. Gallery here: www.historyextra.com/stirlingheadsThanks to: Emetix cf. Neat Pictures: added more!
