I am trying to compile a list of '1st Edition' computer games. Here is what I have so far:
* Pool of Radiance * Curse of the Azure Bonds * Secret of the Silver Blades * Pools of Darkness
* Gateway to the Savage Frontier * Treasures of the Savage Frontier
* Champions of Krynn * Death Knights of Krynn
* Unlimited Adventures (about 700? or so fan-created modules: too many to list right now!)
Bibliographie, Pres
Note: The only one I think I missed there was the original Neverwinter Nights.

There are lots of others, depending on where you want to draw the line of 'rpg': the action rpg dragonlance trilogy: Heroes of the Lance/Dragons of Flame/Shadow Sorcerer. There was a dragonlance wargame, War of the Lance, a dragon flight simulator (yes, really)called Dragonstrike. Also two intellivision games: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Cloudy Mountain and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin.

There is a 3rd DL game, Dark Queen of Krynn, complete with 256-color Amiga-esque visuals (VGA was becoming standard by then). Unlimited Adventures includes an SSI-built module, (? Title) technically that is the last 1e Gold Box game.

The included game in FRUA is "Heirs to Skull Crag", as I recall it was pretty fun, had me hooked.
Also, of interest to content creators, FRUA upgraded the graphics engine from 4-bit to 8-bit color.
I wish there were a high-rez mod for the engine!

I wish there were a high-rez mod for the engine! The closest thing to a hi-rez mod would be the Dungeon Craft project, here: uaf.sourceforge.net/
