Flumph is the base creature that I staple tentacles onto when making new monsters.
Flumph is Lawful Good. That means I AM THE LAW.
Flumphs have long flowing beards, and are despised by many. CHRIST FIGURE

Christian flumphs! Never thought of that. Someone brought up flumph paladins, which I do think exist in 3.x. Prespos

Indeed, they are. I would be tempted to have them as a player race choice, going by THE MONSTER AS A PLAYER CHARACTER section in the DMG. As a note, their origin is given in one of the FR novels, though I can't remember exactly which one right now. In any event, Welcome to the Forum, and Have Fun! In my current game, a large section of halflings ride flail snails and hunt herds of flumps.

In my current game, a large section of halflings ride flail snails and hunt herds of flumps. That is pretty cool as a mental visual. Read a lot where people take the piss out of flail snails and flumphs. There's no bad creatures - just DM's with lack of imagination on where or how to use them.
