I have a bunch of 2E characters I can put together as my adventuring group. Are elves, halflings and dwarfs allowed? Aerth is a really BIG setting, so, the rule of thumb is: Yes, whatever you want. Any AD&D race is allowed. Note that elves come from "another dimension": Faerie/Phaeree. This is from myths of The Otherworld, and, I highly recommend THE BROKEN SWORD, by Poul Anderson (consider that one to be like "canon"). Now, you are at 415 posts, Lord/Companion, so if you want a Dominion, you've got it! In modern terms, you are like the governor of a state. At 500 posts, King/Master you ascend to Kingship, if you want. Your randomly generated region is Berberia. If you want another, that is fine. Berberia is the land of the Berbers, the king is King Arneson (in theory), and, they follow the pantheon of Atlantis. Now, I have no solid idea who the gods of Atlantis(Atlantl) are! I've decided to use the Melnibonean pantheon for Atlantis. Are you familiar with the Elric books by Michael Moorcock? As well, I am postulating an Arabian invasion of Berberia that occured in the past, so that there is an Arabic influence in Berberia, as well: AL-QADIM is highly recommended. The Unknown, Prespos

I have no idea what the Melnibone pantheon is. I have seen RPG books of it but never read it on theory that "why is it not spelled 'Melbonie?'"

I will be able to provide you with a direct link in about 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, there was a book for 1e called DEITIES & DEMIGODS, and, the original printing(s) contained chapters for both the Melnibonean and Cthulhu mythos (both of which I have decided to make extant on Aerth, although I do not know where to place the Nehwon mythos, which is the third literary pantheon contained within that esteemed work). With specific regards to the Melnibonean pantheon, this is from the Elric novels by Michael Moorcock. This is where the concept of Law && Chaos in (A)D&D comes from. These books come with my highest recommendation, if you like to read. Prespos
