This might have to be edited down, a bit, due to Proboards TOS. In the meantime, dragonspipe: thank you for the GD songs. This is a part of my youth that I missed. I was much more into Zep/Sabbath/Floyd, and then... I switched High Schools, got heavily into metal and bass and music, which led to SLAYER / JUDAS PRIEST / IRON MAIDEN / (early) METALLICA. Especially SLAYER. With regards to Black Metal: I've only recently discovered this (BATHORY, etc.), and I wonder how I could have been into metal for so long, and not known about the Black Metal Movement. I guess I was just too focused on SLAYER, perhaps. So, anyway, I will get around to toning down the LSD references, somehow. The GRATEFUL DEAD song and the picture of JOHN LENNON remains, though. Despite the fact that my favorite form is Metal, I have a "High Respect" for the Peace movement of the 60s, even though I can be a bit warlike, at times. With regards to the 60s, something very special happened there. We still talk about it, today, at Friendship Restaurant, every night we see each other. Prespos Ps. I forgot to mention Jimi: Ps2. TURN IT UP!! Ps4. Echo of the Loa, Echo of the Loa Listen, very hard Listen, very hard You are a human, not a horse You must be strong in the control of your self Listen, very hard Listen, very hard Echo of the Loa, Echo of the Loa

It's also the only good footage I've seen (yet) of Phil playing "Big Brown" , a Guild Starfire bass guitar outfitted with an *insane* number of controls and active electronics, and I believe some onboard FX, this was an experiment done by the folks of Alembic. This bass was capable of separate output for each string, which was used with the equally infamous Grateful Dead sound system utilizing 32' tall speaker stacks to create bass standing waves. What the fuck?
