6.09 am Kali, as presented in Deities & Demigods, is a goddess of evil. However, in the real world, she is venerated by thousands, if not millions, of Hindoos, on a daily basis. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KaliSince, when i woke up this morning, my first thought was of Kali, i thought that i would post this. (Yes, i do use Presposia as a journal, hopefully, leaning a bit more towards a magickal journal in the years ahead, but... knowing me, it will regularly degenerate into South Park silliness on a regular basis. Yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day: LSD, cocaine, speed, and alcohol. Lots and lots and lots and lots of alcohol. Glad to be a good influence on younger gamers, as always.) Anyway, time to go. I would live to write more... Prespos

India seems to be a very ... interesting place. With a very variable opinion of its women.

It's an interesting notion, these deities , concepts, entities of darkness. A Prince of Darkness, a goddess. Dark matter, dark energy. Time, change, death. The place outside of time, is this dark energy? The change that is death is its portal.
"On the day of execution, on the day of execution, Only women kneel and smile, aahh-ahhhhh At the center of it all, at the center of it all, Your eyes..."
Wonder if she'll spare me if I play a good sitar?

Dark matter (which is also the name of an RPG) fascinates me. Do gods exist within the dark matter? Is dark matter the body of God?
Who knows... Prespos

Michio Kaku , perhaps.
Tyson has given up on string theory, but, nor does he seem to be adding anything other than criticism.

There's also a TV show called Dark Matter. I haven't bothered to watch it.

Religious taught in India is... well... complicated. It goes without saying that ancient religions are elaborate, being the products of isolated tribal gods (and heroes ascended into godhood) forming into pantheons though intermingling and/or conquest, that overtime, they would get consolidated and reconstructed to fit a grand narrative. But with India, the gods are really ancient, allowed to coexist and coalesce, all while still being practiced to this day. When learning about India's gods and believe structure, you have to take everything you learned about western religions and throw it out the airlock. Their views of live, death, morality, honor, fate, reality, cosmology, etc. are far removed from our own. Basically, it is the spiritual equivalent of culture shock. One neat thing about Hinduism is how the gods have mixed names/aspects. It is the Christian equivalent of the Holy Trinity, were God is worshiped in three different forms (Father, Son and Holy Ghost), but still seen as a single being. Although, in India, Gods have a SHIT-TON of names, and worshipers pray to each of them! Kali alone has over a thousand names!

India's religon is great to study to give a real pagan, and not neo-pagan worldview.
