#1.12 THE THREE KINDREDS OF THE ELDAR by Larry Smith (June 1976) This one is the last article in the first issue of Dragon magazine, a mere half-page at best. And, so, this concludes Dragon magazine #1, in this retrospective series. What do you guys think of these posts: should I continue? Anyway, with regards to AD&D, this is simply an article for OD&D that introduces the concept of sub-races of elves to D&D. Here, there sub-races are listed as: * Silvan * Sindar * Noldor In AD&D, by the time of UA(Unearthed Arcana), there were several elven sub-races: * High * Grey * Valley * Wild * Wood * Drow * Snow (added in Dragon, years later) So, here is the question for the article: Do you guys use elven sub-races for AD&D?
