Please use this thread to post your creative writing:
I'll start, here:
With regards to the contemplation of the Art of Writing:
I think that it is very important for a writer to be able to write on the level of mythology. Also, truth.
Also, it is really about telling a story. There is physical truth, and, perhaps, there is literary truth.
Example:
So, I begin... I've had a bit of health problem, namely death.
When you come back, after the failure of all internal organs, you do not come back the same. I do not understand why I live.
That said, the most basic processes of life, these are difficult, to say the least.
After death, sometimes, you return as less than you were, a cripple in all the 12 systems of the human body, including the brain, that which is part of the nervous system.
Old age is bad: death is worse. When you come back, sometimes you do not come back the same. You come back as less than the person that you were. That said, there does remain within human existence, a certain mystery: the will to exist.
We all die. God curses a few of us to know death and come back. This remains a mystery, beyond my understanding.
God, why did you do this to me?
God, why you bring me back?
It's this kind of creative writing that engages the reader, I think.
If, as a writer, you have the ability to re-tell a true story, and, engage your audience on the level of:
* thought
* emotion
* imagination
I think it is a good skill as a writer.
