Hmm, since it is Canadian election night, I am listening to Anti-Quran Rituals, by Seeds of Iblis.
I am very clear that I do not hate Muslims, but I remain in direct opposition to the implementation of Sharia Law within the legal structure & framework of Canada.
Seeds of Iblis have never published a photo of themselves. They have to do this, or else, they face the threat of death.
Since Presposia is a Free Speech forum, I thought it would be appropriate to play some Seeds of Iblis.
In the USA, it's Freedom of Speech, in Canada, it's called Freedom of Expression (cf. Section 2B of the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms).
Anyway, this one is very hard to listen to, if one is not into metal, but I do believe it is a masterpiece, in it's own way.
Anti-Quran Rituals brings together 3 separate and distinct musical idioms, successfully.
In the sense of music theory, there is the potential mastery of counter-point and juxtaposition, I hear.
Anyway, I do not know the lyrics -- but the message there is very clear. It is the opposition to the Quran.
Myself, in theory, I do not oppose inert words in a book.
Yet, I remain in strong opposition to Sharia law in Canada.
