1017: Danish forces are massing along the southern border with Saxony. It is thought that the Danes are preparing to take back a lost province of Danmark. The Saxons are worried, and have responded by sending their forces to the northern border with Danmark.

The leatherworker's guilds are strong in the cities of Danmark. Black leather is considered an art-form. (Thanks: dragonspipe)

The Danes are said to be the most perpetually drunk people in Aeropa, so drunk as to be "unable to start a war". (However, perspicacious historians should note the conquest of Albion, and, the Danelaw, which still exists to this day, albeit now subject to the Brythonic crown). With regards to being the most perpetually drunk volk in Aeropa, the Hibernians would contest this, and, perhaps consider it an insult to their Celtic pride. Meanwhile, some of the Eastern Aeropeans could prolly drink both the Danes and the Hibernians under table, albeit with a bit of difficulty. In any event, consider all Danes to be drunk, to some degree, as per the rules in the Dungeon Master's Guide, page 82.

King Diamond is married to the "Princess of Hell", a Muavinapuan noblewoman who is said to have been born in one of the Lemurian(Muavinapuan) Colonies of Magmur. It should be noted that the Lemurians are well known for their use of sorcery && necromancy. Some say that this "Princess of Hell" is, in fact, a literal Princess of Hell, a devil who is masquerading in human form.

In Danmark's history, during the Viking Age, they were the most expansionistic ov the Skandian realms, with territory in Albion (The Danelaw, which still exists in the present day, though it has long since sworn fealty to the Crown of Albion), Neustria, Hibernia, Naples, Hasur, and even a trading city in Phillistia (Aegypt). It is important to note that the Danes were traders as well as raiders, and, that their coastal settlement in Phillistia (long-since relinquished) was gained through trade and diplomacy, not through force of arms. The most fantastical of Danmark's conquests was that of a ship that eventually made it's way to the western coast of Vargaard, in the Pacific Northwest, having sailed there through the Northwest Passage. The fate of this colony remains unknown. (Thanks: kjatoragfoot)
